Road Delays

Future Road Closures

Construction of the 2019 Storm Damage Repairs on Briceland Road, CR 435, at M.P. 4.79 is planned for summer 2024. Briceland Road will be closed from the intersection of Usal Road to the end of Briceland Road at the Needle Rock Visitor's Center during construction. This will impact access to the Sinkyone Wilderness State Park. There will be no camping or hiking access during construction. Actual construction dates are to be determined, but will be sometime between August - October 2024, and will last approximately 2.5 months. We will post more exact dates on our website as soon as possible when the construction dates are confirmed.
- Eastside Calpella Road Closure 2023
Road Closures
The following roads will be closed until further notice:
- Low Gap Road, at MP 6.75
- Miner Hole Road at MP 0.15 (600 feet from Highway 1)
Seasonal Road Closures
Mendocino County Department of Transportation will lock the gates closing the following road segments on Monday, November 6th, 2023, by end of day.
- Fort Bragg / Sherwood Rd. CR# 419 MP# 5.08 – 27.54
- Ten Mile Rd. CR# 506 MP# 0.18 – 1.68
- Navarro Ridge Rd. CR# 518 MP# 8.82 – 13.10
- Usal Rd. CR# 431 MP# 6.26 – 24.30 (This does not affect access to the campground at Usal Beach)
The gates will remain closed & locked until late next spring.
